Flint Ridge Vineyard Winery stands out by not standing out. We hope you notice how the winery facilities fit seamlessly into the surroundings as we attempt to create built environments that complement the backdrop of our rural landscape. We hope you are refreshed by a hiatus from the world in constant competition for your attention.
To fully describe and illustrate what you will find here at Flint Ridge Vineyard Winery...
Risa Varasso wondered what exactly our ''miracle of organic architecture" has to do with arrowheads and Indians. I said, "They lived there THEN. We live here NOW." In a real sense, we are like they were, stewards of the land. Will this be a better place because we became part of its story?
You will approach from the left and park directly north of #2, and enter the winery by the accessible ramp onto the deck and porch.

tasting bar left and cash register counter right

seats 10 comfortably with 2 of us hosts serving you

This is the floor plan of our winery, rotated from the plan above so north is to the left, rather than'up'
To orient you, first, look below this text to the shot of our porch and deck...and you can then see the double doors you'll enter through in to the tasting room, the room on the left of the plan above. The first tasting room picture looks to the small window where the sink is. In the second photo, I'm standing behind the tasting bar, near the sink on the eastern wall of the tasting room, facing west. We have a setup in this room of one table for 6, two bistro tables for 2, and we can snugly fit another table for 4 in also!

The sketch is the concept, and the following photo is it's transormation into reality.

Notice the presence of our local fieldstone in the construction. Read some of Carl's thoughts about building with stone.
