The brilliant swaths of color represent our hills. They also remind me of a particular evening in the vineyard, at dusk, when the ominous sky, a kaleidoscope of purples, greens, reds, pushed onward by northwestern winds, ebbed and swelled ahead of a nasty storm. I was lost in wonder wacthing the whole thing. I've never seen a more dramatic sky here before or since...
